Yoga Nidra is a subtle yet powerful practice and state of being that allows for an unwinding from the patterns of our lives and culture through a deep release of mental, emotional and physical tensions.

Translated literally, this ancient practice called “yogic sleep” is easy to do, accessible to all, and profoundly relaxing. While the body settles into a deeply restful state, the mind remains awake and aware, allowing you to access deeper levels of consciousness.

In these changing times, the work of releasing ways of thinking and behaving that don’t serve us is more important than ever. These patterns, called Samskaras, arise from the repetitions of the mind and our actions and can form our conditioning on an individual and cultural level.

This practice will provide an opportunity to practice radical rest, an act of UN-doing of all the external influences, to be able to return to a more balanced and embodied way of being in the world.  You’ll be guided by Chantal into a liminal, trance-like state of imagining, acceptance, self nurturance, and intentional awareness, which is a powerful combination for supporting creativity, processing, and overall ease over time.

Yoga Nidra has been found to be effective in the treatment of stress-related illnesses including including insomnia, anxiety, and depression, and in boosting immune system and overall health. This practice helps people to lead more integrated, genuine, and contented lives and can help to heal psychological and emotional wounds.
